Bereavement programs available for those in need

Seasons Hospice will be holding the following programs for those in bereavement.

The Cabin in the Woods program at Oxbow Park will be on "Nature and Healing" from 6 to 8 p.m. May 4 with Tom Ryan, director of Oxbow Park. He will take participants on a journey of personal discovery through and with nature. Participants should wear comfortable shoes.

Other programs include "Heart Healing with Clay," from 1 to 3:30 p.m. May 16. No experience is necessary.

Open times at the park are noon to 2 p.m. May 17 and 6 to 8 p.m. May 25 when participants can sit in the cabin, walk the paths or take in nature. Staff and volunteers are on site.

"Memory Quilting," will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 27. Join quilters to make wall hangings and/or throw pillows that incorporate personal clothing of your loved one. Other supplies provided. No sewing experience necessary. Bring a bag lunch. Registration is required two days prior to event

The Adult Grief Group is an eight-session support group for those who wish to explore issues related to grief and loss and is most appropriate for those who have experienced the loss prior to March. Meetings are 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, May 26-July 11, and noon to 1:30 p.m., Wednesdays, May 17-July 12. The meetings are at Zumbro Lutheran Church. Register by May 9 Sessions facilitated by Seasons Hospice Staff and volunteers.
