Hospice volunteers provide a special type of caring for hospice patients and their families.  They give of their time to be a friend and to help make the hospice experience manageable and rewarding.

Volunteers provide assistance on many different skill levels.  Many are relatives and friends of former hospice patients who have seen the many way hospice can help and want to contribute to the work of hospice.  Volunteers may provide assistance with household chores, run errands, prepare meals or provide respite time for the family caregiver.  Volunteers may share their time with hospice patients by reading, listening to music, or writing letters.  Most of all, Hospice volunteers are present to visit and listen, providing companionship and support during end of life transitions.

Volunteers also provide bereavement support, office help and assistance at the Seasons Hospice House through housewarming, cooking, maintenance and gardening. For more information about what's available, please visit our Volunteer Opportunities page.
