We are so grateful for all the loving care you gave to my Dad. I’m convinced he was never uncomfortable. My sister and I are especially grateful for his beautiful and peaceful last days. Thank you for all you did.
Thank you for your most kind help during our hour of need. Our family so appreciated all of the help Seasons Hospice gave us in caring for our father. He was at peace and died the way he wanted. We will be forever grateful!
Donations
Seasons Hospice is committed to caring for all people who need hospice and bereavement support in our area, regardless of their ability to pay. Reimbursement by Medicare/Medicaid and private insurance often falls short of covering the actual cost of providing care and services. Additionally, Seasons receives no payment for certain services provided, such as grief support, massage therapy and music therapy. We rely on the generosity of our donors to help us provide these services that greatly enhance the quality of life for those we serve. Your donation is tax-deductible.
Funding Opportunities
General Memorials and Donations
Donations may be made in memory of loved ones who have died, in tribute to hospice staff or volunteers, or in honor of others who have helped make a difference in your life.
General gifts support the ongoing operations of Seasons Hospice as well as help fund patient, family, and community education services, training and support for staff and volunteers, and community outreach to increase awareness of hospice care. Donate online
Patient Care Fund
This grant is funded through Partners in Caring, our annual giving program that supports patients who wish to stay at the Seasons Hospice House, but are unable to afford the cost of residential care or have special needs not covered by insurance or other programs. Each year Seasons Hospice provides approximately 180 days of care through the Patient Care Grant. Funds are awarded based on financial need on a sliding fee scale. Donations are accepted year-round. Massage and Music Therapy Fund
Contributions ensure the continuation of these valuable integrative therapies that Seasons Hospice provides to our patients. Massage and music therapy are not reimbursed by insurance or Medicare/Medicaid; as a result, we rely on donations to keep these services part of our core offerings. Donate online
Center for Grief and Education Support
Seasons Hospice offers a broad array of services and programs in bereavement support for our patients, their families (including programs specifically for children), and members of the general community who have suffered the loss of a loved one, regardless of whether they were on our hospice program. All bereavement programs are offered free of charge, and we receive no reimbursement for grief support. Charitable contributions help sustain this program. Donate online
Endowment Fund
Seasons Hospice established its Endowment Fund in 2005 solely to support the charitable mission of this community-based, non-profit organization. This permanent fund supports specific needs not included in the regular budgeting process. Donations may be designated as "restricted" (the principal may not be expended) or "unrestricted." Seasons Hospice welcomes gifts by personal check or cash as well as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds to support the Endowment Fund. Please contact Carolyn Piepho, Director of Development, at 507-285-1930 or cpiepho@seasonshospice.org for more information.
Veterans Care Fund
This grant provides assistance to dying veterans who wish to live out their remaining days at our Hospice House, but do not have the financial resources to afford the cost of care. The fund was established in 2007 by generous grants from local and state veterans groups and continues to grow through community donations. Donate online
Circle of Remembrance Granite Pavers
The granite pavers provide a lasting way to remember your loved one. The pavers are part of the Circle of Remembrance Memorial, located on the grounds of our Hospice House, encircling the pond. Proceeds from sale of the pavers help maintain the Center for Grief Education and Support. For more information, please contact Beth Taraba at 507-285-1930.
Planned Gifts
Planned giving is usually accomplished through a bequest in a will or trust, or by naming Seasons Hospice as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, annuity, or retirement plan. These gifts traditionally qualify for a charitable deduction and the assets pass estate tax free at the time of death. If you have made or would like to consider making a gift of this type, please contact us so that we can help facilitate and acknowledge you for your generosity.
Matching Gifts
Does your employer match employee gifts? If so, you may be able to double your impact. Please check with your employer.
